Although not equal to human translation, machine translation (MT) offers a low-cost alternative when you need to translate something quickly or when you are managing large volumes of content. We offer three kinds of MT:
- Customization and ongoing maintenance: Appropriate for a specific subject domain with input using a consistent style guide. This approach produces translated content that is adequate for general audiences, if information is needed quickly, and the alternative would be to have no translation at all.
- Customization, ongoing maintenance, and light post-editing or content validation: The addition of a light post-editing step corrects typical, unintelligible MT outputs and provides a “good enough” machine/human translation valid for several applications.
- Customization, ongoing maintenance, and full post-editing: The addition of post-editing corrects word choices, grammar, and style, and greatly improves the content output to match the quality of human translation.
