SAP "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" Test Program
SAP NetWeaver™ is the comprehensive integration and application platform that facilitates the alignment of people, information, and business processes across organizational and technological boundaries. As the technical foundation for the mySAP™ Business Suite and SAP® xApps™, it ensures maximum reliability, security, and scalability. The open SAP NetWeaver architecture allows the integration of third-party software solutions, enabling customers using SAP technology to deploy customized solutions.
To ensure the quality and interoperability of solutions from independent software vendors (ISVs), and to help ISVs effectively market their SAP-certified solutions, SAP has established a testing program leading to two levels of new product designations: "Certified for SAP NetWeaver™" and "Powered by SAP NetWeaver™".
Within this program, VeriTest provides the testing for applications that are:
- deployed on SAP Web AS via J2EE-engine
- integrated into SAP Enterprise Portal via Business Packages
Each one of these certification opportunities provides the designation "Certified for SAP NetWeaver" for the solution. The combination of both also carries the designation "Powered by SAP NetWeaver". This SAP endorsement is otherwise only used for SAP's own solutions running on SAP NetWeaver. It reflects the true power of using SAP NetWeaver as the central platform for SAP as well as non-SAP solutions.
