HP Output Server Application Certification Program

VeriTest®,a service of Lionbridge, is contracted with Hewlett Packard to provide third-party development and certification of HP Output Server application.

HP Output Server

HP Output Server (HPOS) is a network program designed to enable centralized management of tracking and controlling documents. It provides real-time notification of device malfunctions or job interruptions.

HPOS is the core platform of any HP Output Management solution—the intelligent link that gets critical documents from virtually any application to nearly any destination reliably and efficiently while saving money. Critical to making the connection between HP Output Server and your enterprise applications are powerful software integration modules such as HP Output Manager for SAP.

VeriTest Deliverables

VeriTest works directly with your printer experts, to develop and test HPOS device templates. Device configuration objects allow HPOS to communicate with physical devices such as printers, scanners, and fax machines. In all currently supported versions of HPOS, configuration objects are referred to as "device templates."

The template structure and content is based on the HPOS Device Template developer Guide, which is provided by HP.

Certification Steps

1. Click Here to Login
   Note: If you have login credentials, you will enter your username and password. If you do not have login credentials, please click on the New User link. You will be asked to enter your contact information. Your login credentials will then be sent you within one working day via email.
2. After logging in, you will be sent to a registration page. Please ensure that all required information is entered and accurate.
3. Once your registration information is completed and submitted, VeriTest will send a response to you within 2 working days via email.
4. This email will contain a Master Test Agreement (MTA) and a quote based on the information you provided to us. Additionally, it will request that you send us a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for us to sign.
5. Please sign the MTA and send us a copy via email or fax.
6. We will return a copy of the signed NDA to you.
7. After the above steps have been completed, we may contact you for additional proprietary information about your printer. This information will to be used in the certification process.
8. Based on the test site location option selected by you in the registration page:
   • Testing at our site - You will ship your printer(s) to our location. You will be responsible for all shipping costs related to sending and returning the printer(s).
   • Testing at your site - A VeriTest Test Engineer will travel to your location. You will be expected to cover all travel expenses. Both parties will agree to these expenses in advance.
    
9. After we have completed the certification process, the results will be sent to HP.
10. HP will verify the results and send a trademark agreement to you. You will need to sign this agreement and return to HP. After that is completed you will have access to HP trademark.
11. The Profile will be added to the future HP Output Server release.
